    Protecting user privacy is of utmost importance to MyLoads.co.za. Accordingly, this Privacy Policy has been developed to safeguard the personal information of our customers, shippers, and transporters, and to protect the confidentiality thereof.

    In doing so, MyLoads has taken cognisance of the provisions of:

    • The Constitution of the Republic of South Africa (Act 108 of 1996),

    • The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (25 of 2002),

    • The Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA, Act 4 of 2013), and

    • The common law of South Africa,

    to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and best practices.

    2. No Liability for Unauthorised Disclosure

    While MyLoads will take all reasonable steps to protect your rights of privacy while using our platform, we cannot accept liability for any unauthorised or unlawful disclosure of personal information by third parties who are not under the control of MyLoads.co.za.

    3. Personal Information Defined

    For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “personal information” includes (but is not limited to):

    • Name and surname

    • Email address

    • Telephone and mobile number

    • Identity number or company registration number

    • Physical and postal addresses

    • Payment details (banking or card information)

    • Business documentation submitted for KYC/AML purposes

    By accepting the MyLoads.co.za Terms & Conditions, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal information on an ongoing basis for the continued duration of your relationship with MyLoads, subject to the limitations set out in this Privacy Policy.

    MyLoads collects personal information when you:

    • Register as a Shipper to post loads,

    • Register as a Transporter to quote and accept bookings,

    • Submit documentation for verification (KYC/AML compliance),

    • Complete a booking and process payment,

    • Participate in surveys or provide feedback on services.

    If you choose to pay for services by way of EFT, debit card, or online payment, we may collect transaction-related information for reconciliation and compliance.

    6. Cookies

    We use cookie technology — small data files stored on your device — to identify users, track usage, and improve the online experience. You may disable cookies in your browser, but this may affect platform functionality.

    7. Use of Customer Data

    Customer data collected by MyLoads is used solely for purposes of:

    • Enabling load postings, quotations, bookings, and payments,

    • Facilitating escrow and payout transactions,

    • Conducting verification checks for compliance,

    • Communicating updates, announcements, or relevant marketing information.

    8. Service Announcements

    To fulfil service obligations, MyLoads may occasionally send strictly service-related announcements (e.g., downtime due to system maintenance). These are not promotional and generally cannot be opted out of.

    9. Disclosure of Personal Information

    Subject to your right to withdraw consent, you agree that MyLoads may use your personal information for:

    • Account management, transaction processing, and compliance purposes,

    • Communication of service updates, improvements, or offers,

    • Disclosure to law enforcement where required by subpoena, court order, or legal process,

    • Disclosure to independent contractors and business partners, provided they:

      • Hold this information in confidence, and

      • Use it only to provide services on behalf of MyLoads.

    Personal information will only be retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined above, unless longer retention is required by law.

    MyLoads endeavours to keep all personal information accurate and up to date. From time to time, users may be requested to update their details via the platform.
